FACILITIES LEADER-HC

The Facilities Leader is responsible for leading a team of qualified trade craftsmen and other resources to drive exceptional regulatory and quality assurance, for optimized services for the protection of people and assets, and for enhancing business growth by maintaining a world-class building for customers and employees. • Ensuring regulatory EHS, life safety and building code compliance • Maintaining facilities budget and warranty programs, and improving base costs including energy cost reductions projects • Driving customer service and work completion based on priorities set by customers (main focus of Maintenance is Manufacturing related to safety, throughput equipment, lean mfg projects, Periodic Maintenance (PM), improvement projects and administrative area moves including work stations). • Maintaining all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems • Maintaining facilities equipment such as fire protection, elevators, water, compressed air, and outside grounds (including facility up keep, landscaping, STP, etc) • Maintaining and generating procedures for preventative maintenance and work tasks • Planning, scheduling, forecasting, and balancing department workload • Managing facilities projects for cost, schedule, safety and quality • Administer various contracts/contractors supporting plant & services. • Managing and supporting the two critical EHS Elements of Emergency Preparedness and Fire Prevention Element #11 program & Contractor Health & Safety Element #10 program. • Responsible for Lock Out Tag Out Element #21 program related to facilities. • Serving as local Crisis Management Leader, Security Leader, and company liaison from a facilities perspective. • Ensuring consistent operating procedures and policies for the facility • Reporting on maintenance accomplishments in the areas of safety corrective actions and improvements, PM’s, Repair Work orders, and improvement projects. • Developing P&E and expense budgets for the proposed project and gain financial approval. 1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position 2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines 3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required. 4. Knowledge of GEHC Purchasing Controls Procedures and operates within them to ensure that all purchased services conform to specified requirements. 5. Knowledge of GE Corporate Real Estate Procedures & Policies and operate within them to ensure that all leases & related documents are in compliance. 6. he Sourcing Specialist/ Source Development Leader for Raw Material (electrical steel - laminations) & Fabrication will be responsible for growing relationships with corecompt's Suppliers and work closely with Global Commodity Team. This role is involved in long-term planning, contribution to the overall strategy, and manages complex issues within functional areas of expertise. Essential Responsibilities 1. Lead supplier development initiative & contract administration functions for sourcing of Electrical and Electromechanical parts from suppliers in Asia except China. 2. Work closely with respective Global Commodity Leaders, and other members of extended supply chain team (Manufacturing, Engineering etc.) to fully understand sourcing needs, strategy, and commitments, technical and quality requirements. 3. To understand/evaluate capabilities of existing and potential Indian suppliers to facilitate strategic sourcing while meeting all quality, cost and growth expectations. 4. Provide for the evaluation of vendor quotations utilizing total cost, should cost /target cost, appropriate negotiation and purchasing analysis techniques and implementation of LTA/ contracts with emphasis on quality, price, delivery, service and NPI. 5. Should have very good understanding for manufacturing processes for the Electrical and Electromechanical parts. Developed technical and market expertise in commodity area. 6. Coordinate with factories to ensure supply meets any and all demand requirements Conduct Capacity Audits; track any Red Flags that impede supplier performance.
